A BIT ABOUT ME
Young Kim is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). He has been providing counselling and consultation services related to infertility and third party reproduction since 2016.
Young Kim completed his B.A. Honours in Psychology at York University and earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. He is currently working at the Obstetrical/Gynecology Ambulatory Care, London Health Sciences Centre and OMEGA Fertility Centre as a social worker. He is actively involved with the Quality Care and Patient Safety Committee and Perinatal Loss Committee at the hospital. He is dedicated to supporting and helping an individual or couple who is facing a challenging time expanding their family. He has been actively involved with various community partners. He is a past Education Chair of the Counselling Special Interest Group at the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS).
Young Kim offers psychosocial consultation services for third-party reproduction including gamete (sperm, eggs or embryos) donation and surrogacy. He practices from a trauma informed, anti-oppressive approach and support individuals from a variety of backgrounds. He is certified to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfullness-based Cognitive Therapy that can support your journey to parenthood.
